The City Center project changed the downtown of Royal Oak, Michigan. It included a six-story office building (Henry Ford Health System), a state-of-the-art city hall and police station, and a new central park. Krieger Klatt designed the office building and city hall.

The buildings were designed to border the park and create a feeling of enclosure. Each building fronts the park, Royal Oak City Center, library, and city hall. Troy Street, next to the site, was re-paved with decorative payment to slow down traffic and is intended to be shut down so functions at the farmers market can expand toward the park. The site is a beautiful space for residents and visitors to visit.
