Red Run Golf Club, a historic private club in Royal Oak, MI, has long been a cornerstone of tradition and excellence since its founding in 1914. Over the years, multiple expansions resulted in a fragmented layout that no longer matched the club’s prestigious legacy. To address this, Red Run enlisted Krieger Klatt Architects (KKA) to re-imagine the clubhouse and elevate both its flow and aesthetic.
One of the standout features of the renovation is the stunning wraparound bar in the main dining room, which has quickly become a social hub for members. Additionally, KKA transformed an underutilized covered patio into a year-round outdoor space with ceiling heaters, perfect for three-season enjoyment. The redesign also included re-purposing a walk-through room into a sought-after wine locker room with seating, now regularly rented for private events. The entire building was re-skinned to unify its design, giving the clubhouse a refined and cohesive look that matches its elevated status. These upgrades ensure that Red Run Golf Club remains a distinguished institution, poised for another century of success.
